1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of saltrangeco.com and any purchase you make from it. The site is operated by Blackfin LLC ("Salt Range Co," "we," "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.

3. Products

Salt is a natural material. Color, veining, translucency, crystal structure, and surface texture vary from piece to piece and from batch to batch. Product photography shows representative examples, not the exact items you will receive. Variation is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.

Dimensions are nominal. Individual pieces may vary by up to 1/4 inch as a result of hand cutting.

We make every effort to display colors accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen renders them faithfully.

4. Pricing and errors

All prices are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include shipping or applicable sales tax, which are calculated at checkout.

Despite our best efforts, listings may occasionally contain errors in price, description, availability, or specification. We reserve the right to correct errors and to cancel any order placed against incorrect information, even after the order is confirmed. If we cancel an order for this reason, we will refund you in full.

5. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship it. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we suspect fraud, where quantities are limited, or where we cannot ship to your address.

6. Payment

Payment is due in full at checkout unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. By submitting payment information you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method.

7. Shipping and delivery

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it — it covers delivery inspection, damage claims, and shipments that arrive in more than one delivery.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.

8. Returns

Returns are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Installation and use — please read

Salt walls are heavy. A completed wall can weigh several hundred to several thousand pounds, and that load is carried by the wall structure behind it and by the base it rests on.

You are solely responsible for:

• Confirming that the wall, framing, and floor can carry the load

• Proper anchoring, ledger support, and adhesive application

• Compliance with all applicable building codes and permit requirements

• Safe electrical installation of any lighting supplied with or used alongside our products

• Engaging a licensed contractor or engineer where appropriate

Our placement maps and installation guidance are provided for general reference only. They are not engineering documents, they are not a substitute for professional advice, and they do not account for the specific conditions of your building.

We are not liable for property damage, personal injury, or loss arising from installation, structural failure, or use of our products.

10. Product suitability

Our products are intended for interior use in dry conditions unless a listing states otherwise. Salt is hygroscopic — it draws moisture from the air. In humid environments salt may sweat, soften, or weep, and may damage adjacent surfaces or finishes. Do not install in bathrooms, exterior walls, unconditioned spaces, or any location with sustained high humidity unless the listing specifically provides for it.

Damage caused by moisture exposure, improper installation, or use outside the intended application is not covered.

11. No health or medical claims

Our products are decorative building materials. Nothing on this site is intended as a claim that they diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition, or that they produce any specific health outcome. Statements about salt on this site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any health concern.

12. Wholesale and trade orders

Wholesale, trade, and bulk orders may be subject to separate terms, including minimum quantities, deposits, lead times, and non-cancellable status once production or freight is booked. Where a written quotation or trade agreement conflicts with these terms, that document controls.

13. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, photographs, graphics, logos, product designs, installation guides, and placement maps — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our written permission.

You may not use our name, logo, or product imagery to represent yourself as an authorized dealer or reseller without a written agreement.

14. Customer submissions

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display it in connection with our business, including in marketing. You confirm the content is yours to share and does not infringe anyone's rights.

We may remove any submission at our discretion.

15. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to violate any law, infringe any right, transmit malicious code, scrape or harvest data, interfere with the site's operation, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or account.

16. Third-party links and services

The site may link to or rely on third-party services, including payment processors, carriers, and analytics providers. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.

17. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in writing, the site and our products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so this may not apply to you in full.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the site or any product will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of use, cost of removal or reinstallation, or damage to other property.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blackfin LLC, its officers, members, and employees from any claim, loss, liability, or expense arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your installation or use of our products.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

21. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.

22. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. The terms in force at the time you place an order govern that order.
