- Keep away from excessive moisture.
- Inspect the cord, bulb, and electrical components before use.
Himalayan salt is a natural mineral. Kept dry, it lasts for years.
The Essentials
- Dust with a dry microfiber cloth — that's all most pieces need.
- Never rinse, soak, or wash. Water dissolves and pits the surface.
- No soap or chemical cleaners.
- Handle gently; salt chips easily. Lift lamps by the base, not the cord.
- Set it on a tray or coaster, never bare wood or fabric.
If it needs more than dusting
Wipe with a barely damp cloth, then dry immediately. Turn lamps on afterward to draw out the moisture.
Humidity
Salt absorbs moisture above roughly 60% indoor humidity. In humid or coastal climates, keep lamps lit most of the day — the bulb's warmth keeps them dry — and run A/C or a dehumidifier. Dry climates need nothing but regular dusting. For long damp seasons, seal unused pieces in a bag with a desiccant packet.
Where to keep it
Best in bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and dry saunas. Fine in kitchens if away from the sink and stove. Avoid bathrooms, steam rooms, damp basements, and outdoors — steam, rain, and dew break salt down fast.
Normal vs. not
Color variation, veining, and small pits are natural. Beading or a white film means the room is too humid — wipe dry, leave the lamp on, and improve airflow.
Safety
Keep away from pets; licking salt can make dogs and cats seriously ill.
Installation
Quick Installation Guide
What You’ll Need
- Himalayan salt bricks or tiles
- Salt Adhesive
- LED lighting (optional)
- Caulking gun
- Level & measuring tape
- Clean, dry installation surface
- Moisture barrier/backing (optional, depending on location)
Installation
1. Prepare the Surface
Make sure the wall is clean, dry, level, and capable of supporting the weight of the salt.
2. Plan Your Layout
Measure and mark the area. Mix pieces from different boxes for a balanced natural color pattern.
3. Add Lighting — Optional
Install LED backlighting before placing the salt if you want an illuminated wall.
4. Install the Salt
Start from a level, properly supported base. Apply Salt Adhesive and install the bricks or tiles row by row, checking the level as you go.
5. Let It Cure
Allow the adhesive to fully cure according to the instructions before disturbing the installation.
6. Keep It Dry
Protect your finished salt wall from direct water and excessive moisture.
Important: Salt walls are heavy and require proper support. Always follow the complete installation manual included with your order. Large or specialized installations may require additional reinforcement or support.
